“So much bullshit here. I have autism. I have an average IQ but IQ is just a number. I love to learn new things and break habits I taught myself to learn new things. We think in a different way. We do feel emotions, we just don’t know how to express them. There is a lot of fear when strangers want to make contact. But in the end, with the right mindset and acceptance by more people, we can be what we want to be. Yes, we are weird sometimes but who isn’t? Normal people? What’s normal? Nobody is normal, everyone has something different. The term normal is an illusion created by society. Please, people, don’t make assumptions and do some research. Or meet someone with autism. We are not the stereotype most people think we are. Yes, we have our problems which most of the time is a combination of thoughts and expressions. Just love each other and the world would be a better place for everyone.”

“People with autism are some of the smartest and most amazing people I have met. In middle school, I became best friends with a girl with autism. We talked every day and sat at the same lunch table. When our report cards came out, we compared our grades and she had straight A’s while I had a few A’s, B’s and a C. She was also the kindest person I’ve met and she loved art so much. I moved away, but we still keep in touch from time to time. What I’m saying is that we shouldn’t underestimate people just because they have autism“,
