He doesn't owe them anything. They should thank him for the opportunity and move onto the next part of their lives
Why should he? They're not his responsibility.
Why would Howard need to "provide for" coworkers after he retires?
Sal and Richard seem to think that Jimmy Kimmel will hire them. They are both delusional.
He's going to move the entire staff into his basement and cook their meals for them.
When Howard has no use of them anymore, they’re dead to him.
It's business. Some care, some don't. It's a fact of life that can be said of most CEOs.
They'll get other jobs. They're employees, not farm animals or pets.
He only really cares about Robin and Fred. Maybe not even Fred. They are both at retirement age with plenty of money anyway.
His gift will be giving them advance notice so they can look for other work.
When my boss retires I assume I’ll have to find a new job. Just like everyone else that works for a living. Why would Hoohoo be any different?
Howard’s latest deal, signed in 2015, gave Sirius access to his archive for 12 years. So, presumably, his channels will remain around that long. If not, Howard 360 will. I’m guessing that a small staff will be needed to maintain the channels/app. So hopefully a small percentage of the staff will stick around. The majority are probably sol.
Artificial intelligence will take the spot of any leftover staff.
If there’s one thing this staff has a lot of, it’s artificial intelligence.
The retained staff will probably be Rahsaan, Marci, and Steve Brandano.
I just read an article about this recently that said the core staff will be employed for the next 12 years if they want to be. Not sure who that covers.
Aren't most of them technically Sirius employees? They will shuffle around the company.
If your current boss retired, would he/she make sure you had a job in the future ? Howard doesn't owe them jobs. He's given them jobs. They know the deal - they should be networking to get their next gig once he finally leaves. Most are lazy, rest on Howard's laurels, glorified interns who have not prepared for their future.
Pretty much what I was going for

I'm sure JD will be fine. He has so much experience as a film director he's obviously the next Tarantino. If that doesn't work he has the highly unique skill of operating a dvr and watching tv.
JD will get lucrative voice over work.
He will do nothing.
He will do nothing but possibly put in a good word for some with Jimmy Kimmel.
Sal & Rich will start a YouTube channel of their goofs. Maybe others will join. JD will go mine material somewhere, maybe Kimmel.
I predict he will give everyone a $1 million dollar bonus as retirement gift.
I predict that if there is any "retirement gift" at all it will be a lot closer to $1 than $1 million.
More likely he will expect them to donate to saving cats. F Timmy.
How you worded your original post is ridiculous and immature. "Take care of them/provide for them" -- if they contributed to a 401k and SS, that's what takes care and provides. Not Howard.
$1M bonus? What a weird comment. We'd never know, nor should we care either way.
